On January 16th 2026 I had the worst experience imaginable with SoFi. Without any prior notice or explanation, they closed my account and immediately blocked my access to the app, leaving me with no way to see my transactions or balance. To make matters worse, they are withholding my hard-earned money, claiming they 'sent a check by mail' that could take up to 14 days. In the meantime, I have bills to pay and no access to my own capital. Their customer service provided zero transparency and no path to escalation. If you value financial stability and basic communication, **do not bank with SoFi.** They can and will cut off your access to your money at a moment's notice with no accountability.
