First off, I would like to say that BOA credit card promotions pulled me through a tough financial time. They were great and didn't have an issue. Until...I had a zero balance. Their autopay continued charging this monthly amount of $1k. I was understanding on this first one because BOA does not have a simple autopay rule and their payment setup is more complex than it needs to be. Whoever approved or put it together could care less about the end user, IMO. Because the cost was minimal to me, $2 from my bank, I wasn’t concerned about the fees I was charged but waiting 7-10 usual business days was a pain. What if this was financially causing me issues? It could have been a situation to not pay something I had money for but didn’t because of this. Well, nothing did and requested the customer service agent to please make sure this happened again. He said he took care of both issues. I did eventually receive the money but was again charged $1k for a zero balance on my BOA credit card. This time I was going to ask for reimbursement because this was obviously something I requested the agent to correct and it wasn’t. BOA’s supervisor, supervisor confirmed with me they can’t and won’t reimburse me for any external fees from my bank. Understand this, for a bank that regardless of negligence or not is know to bend you over if you miss a payment and wants their fees, which are not cheap, gets their money but won’t pay for fees they incur to their customers for their negligence. The first time I understand but don’t, the second time? Hell no. This is their policy. If you have ever had BOA don’t expect them to be held accountable for their actions. I immediately canceled this credit card over $3.25 charges from my bank because of the principal. I have plenty of credit and will take the ding from this on my credit card. Unfortunately, regardless of need, I won’t be using BOA for any financial needs I have.
WIll not be acountable for their negligence
