Citibank Review

Citibank Hong Kong has been quite an easy bank to deal with over the last ten years. I've been a customer for over 10 years in Hong Kong. It's easy to call customer service and ask for help. Most branches all over the country have helpful staff and extended hours of service until 7:00 pm. They help with every single question related to your account and go out of their way to sort out other related queries to help you out, those that involve other service providers e.g. Octopus. It's really fast to reach an actual person on the phone, I never hold for ages and issues are resolved quickly. The ATM service is perfect as I can access my account with any JETCO machine in the country. I haven't had any problems with accessing my money when I travel to other countries. The Octopus Visa was really easy to apply for and I an use it worldwide. This is so far the most efficient bank I've been with, and I have been recommending friends to sign up for accounts with them.

Sue Citibank

I have a salary account with Citibank which was forced by one of the bank members. I was tricked where signature for the credit card applications had been taken. Due to some address problem, i did not receive the card and the bank did not delivere on the alternate address. This month I have been charged the amount for the credit card I never used or received. I can not even get the card blocked because I don't have a card or the welcome kit to even know the card number. I want an immediate action over this about the 4913 HKD that was deducted from my salary account. This is unacceptable. I have been trying to call on the customer care which is hopeless. I am going to sue the bank.

Losing check

Citibank has simply become too big to be friendly. When they make a mistake such as losing a check, first of all they don't admit it, second of all they just ignore you and hope the problem will go away. Why do I have to spend my energy and time fixing a mistake that they made? I have more than 1200 friends on Facebook alone so I'm taking to social media every chance I get and letting everyone know about my experience. Then I'm going to write a letter to the key executives to let them know about my experience, goodbye Citibank.
