Great customer service and online banking service

I've been with ANZ for quite a few years now and I've always had such lovely customer service whether it's a walk in or talking over the phone. I find their employees very helpful, efficient and understanding. Also, there are no waiting time over the phone for customer service. Paying your bills were made easier thru their online banking system, and is accessible thru your electronic devices such as mobile, tables & laptops. I personally use their ANZ mobile banking all the time and I'm really happy how easy it is to use and accessible at all times. I also feel safe with Shield, which is a security app that provides an additional layer of security to make your Internet Banking even safer. They also have different savings acco unts depending on your needs. I have been using 2 out of 4 of these accounts for quite some time now and it helps me save the amout of money I wanted. The only thing I dislike is the $5 account service fee they have every month. Overall, I love banking with ANZ and I'm not going to change banks anytime soon.

No solution

What is the use of marketing and claiming high if u cannot just open a simple joint account for existing clients. KYC system is not integrated and I applied for joint account on 6th of Jan to deposit money. Later on followed up myself for my account to be opened today finally after visiting branch. I get to know due to your stupid internal system, my account is not opened and my money is frozen. As if it was not all they now want to refund money by issuing a DD on joint account. Why would I request for joint account if I already had it. After wasting 2 hour at branch, there is still no solution.

ANZ app not working

The ANZ app not is still not working after the troubleshooting session over the phone. I have already restarted my device several times and I am still unable to login. This is getting frustrating as I really need to login to check my accounts and transfer some cash. Is the app down or is there something wrong with my account? Please rectify!

Improper closure

I am very shock & disappointed that you have closed my ANZ SAVINGS account without any prior notice, and has caused me much inconvenience to all my other services (eg. Paypal, Apple iTunes, etc) that I have linked my debit card to. No Customer Service has called, text, emailed, or even send a letter to inform me the closure of my ANZ SAVINGS account. Upon checking with your branch at Tristan Mall, your staff could even admit that they used to inform customers of closure of bank accounts, but they don't do that anymore. Even if my account did not meet the minimum balance requirement, I still had deposit/withdrawal transactions done 1-2 weeks ago. Its not like my account was inactive over a long period. Why did ANZ close my account without a valid reason, and without notice?

No overseas support

I have been trying to call to activate my ANZ card for overseas for the past 3 days. I waited for over 20 minutes every time I call for the customer service. Due to the ridiculous amount of waiting, I wasn't able to activate the card or check on the status. This is getting ridiculous. I just need this small problem to be solved so that I do not get stuck without credit overseas.

ANZ is terrible

So after finally getting the statement I’d been after for 6 weeks and being so fed up with dealing with you I decided to just pay the balance owing and call to close my account. I’m informed by another tool that the ‘computer says no’ and it will take 24 hours for the system to allow the card account to be cancelled. I escalate this again and speak to my good friends in customer complaints where I am promised the account will be closed on Monday first thing and I will receive and email to confirm all of this. The consultant/idiot I spoke to told me I’d receive a text message with his contacts in case I needed to follow up… Surprise surprise it never came and my account has not been closed. So… I call in to close my account just now and after being on hold for 15 minutes I'm told it will take 24hrs to finalise the balance before my account can be closed and I would need to be put through to another department upon which I hung up. This is just another example of your incompetence and I am going to do everything in my power to ensure ANZ gets no business from anyone I know as well as contacting the press. Truly shocking and from a person who runs his own business I am in absolute disbelief.

Do not bank with ANZ. I've had the worst banking experience with these guys! Just got off the phone after being put on hold for over an hour from the UK (the reverse charge number doesn't work) - and when I finally got through the "system is down". This is not the first time this has happened. My credit cards were stolen 4 months ago. I have only just received replacements and ANZ closed my online banking when the cards were deactivated (they're now trying to charge me interest on something I couldn't pay). I'll be closing the account the next time I have a few hours to spare and enough money to pay my phone bill in order to do so!
